Pakistan Army Chief Raheel Sharif Warns India of 'Unbearable Cost' of War

Pakistan's armed force boss Raheel Sharif has depicted Kashmir as the "unfinished motivation of the Partition" and undermined an "intolerable expense" for a "short or long" war.

Talking at an occasion in Rawalpindi on Sunday, General Sharif said: "Let me repeat that our military stand completely competent to thrashing a wide range of outer animosity."

The remarks were seen as an immediate reaction to Indian Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhaag saying a week ago that India must be arranged for "quick, short nature of future wars" on account of incessant truce infringement by Pakistan and its "new routines" used to keep Jammu and Kashmir on the bubble.

The Pakistan Army Chief said: "If the foe ever falls back on any misfortune, paying little mind to its size and scale - short or long - it will need to pay a terrible expense."

Saying that pure individuals were "subjected to shamefulness, abominations in Kashmir", General Sharif said: "Persisting peace is impractical without an only determination of Kashmir. The issue can never again be put as a second thought."

The time had come, he said, for Kashmir to be determined "in accordance with UN resolutions."

The Pakistan armed force boss was talking at an occasion to stamp the 1965 war with India.

At an occasion in Delhi to honor the same war, the Indian Army boss had said that the fringes were live and dynamic in light of regular truce infringement and penetration offers by Pakistan.

"We are intensely mindful that the quick, short nature of future wars are liable to offer restricted cautioning time - this calls for keeping up elevated amounts of operational readiness at all times," said General Singh.
